On June 12, the China Textile Industry Federation Science and Technology Guidance Project, “Key Technologies and Equipment for Heat Resistant and Creep-resistant Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene”, jointly undertaken by Jiangsu Shenhe Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Donghua University The scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting was held in Yancheng, Jiangsu, with Academician Sun Jinliang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering as the director of the appraisal committee and Academician Jiang Shicheng as the deputy director. An expert group of five other domestic experts in the field of high-performance fiber new materials was formed.

During the meeting, the experts of the appraisal committee carefully listened to the work report, technical research report, application promotion report of the project team members, reviewed the scientific and technological innovation report, patent certificate and other related technical materials, and conducted detailed inquiries and serious discussions on the subject. The appraisal committee unanimously determined that the overall technical level of the project results has reached the "international advanced level" and has good economic and social benefits. It is recommended to further promote the application. The breakthrough of this technology will provide more advanced strategic materials for China's military, aerospace and ocean engineering.
